Watch Where you are Stepping

Vicki and I have been walking a lot lately, and as we walk, it is amazing how we have to watch where we are going. Even in our suburban area with nice sidewalks and walkways, there are always challenges like low hanging tree branches, uneven pavement, flying insects and always there are the remnants those irresponsible pet owners who leave landmines to avoid.
Life is a lot like that. We need to watch where and how we walk. Psalm 1 says "Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked." Psalm 119:45 says "I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts." In the New Testament, the Apostle John encourages us to a new kind of walk. In 2 John 1:6 he says: "And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love."
So, as you are walking through this journey, watch your walk. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and walk with love toward God and Others.
